The Detsky Mir Group is the largest children's goods retail store network in Russia. Detsky Mir, which means Children's World, is one of Russia's oldest, most recognized and most trusted retail brands, with a 50 year history.

The Detsky Mir Group combined revenues of US$ 597.2 million in 2007 (year-on-year growth 78%) and US$ 335.3 million in 2006 (year-on-year growth 62%).

As of  March 31, 2009 the Group has 128 stores across 67 cities in Russia and 1 in Ukraine having a total retail space of more than 220 000 sq.m. Detsky Mir is a JSFC Sistema owned retail business; Sistema is a 100% shareholder in the Detsky Mir Group.

Sistema is the largest private sector consumer services company in Russia and the CIS. Founded in 1993, the corporation develops and manages a portfolio of market leading businesses in selected service-based industries. In total, companies controlled by Sistema serve more than 80 million consumers in Russia, the CIS and Eastern and Western Europe.
